Blind rivets made of Nickel-Copper (mandrel made of galvanized steel) are particularly suitable for joining steel and aluminum, as the potential difference of the materials leads to low current flow and good resistance to galvanic corrosion (better than stainless steel). The tensile alloy (70% nickel, 30% copper, similar to Monel®) with a high yield strength can be easily cold-formed and is resistant to sea water and a variety of acids and alkaline solutions.
