SAE 5 adapter made of PETG plastic for installing the Simarine STR level sensor on a metal tank. The adapter is intended for applications where the radar signal cannot penetrate the tank material. The STR1 or STR2 sensor can be mounted securely on top of the tank using the SAE 5-hole pattern, enabling accurate fluid level measurement in metal tanks as well.
The adapter creates a reliable path for the radar signal and serves as a sturdy, leak-preventing mounting base. The durable construction is suitable for boats, motorhomes, campervans and other applications with a metal fuel, water or waste water tank.
The package includes the STR-A adapter, gasket, mounting screws and installation instructions. During installation, the tank surface is cleaned, the gasket is put in place, the adapter is aligned and fastened, after which the STR1 or STR2 sensor is mounted on top of the adapter.
