The Lewmar HTX Traveller range complements the HTX block range and is based on long design and manufacturing experience and cooperation with boat builders, designers and sailors. At the heart of the range is the Captive Ball traveller, in which the balls stay neatly and securely in the car. The design makes installation easier and allows the car to be removed for cleaning and maintenance without losing the balls.
Suitable for boats up to 16 metres (49 ft). The car’s minimalist design consists of a small number of parts. The compact one-piece aluminium body and composite end caps are streamlined. Available in several configurations, such as with one or two control line sheaves, becket and shackle cam.
Compatible with a genoa car mounted on a slide bar with stirrup attachment. Three separate ball races allow fast car movement under vertical load and smooth movement under side load. Larger balls increase the contact surface and improve operating efficiency.
The balls circulate in an open design, which makes cleaning easy even when installed. A new pin mechanism supports smooth ball circulation. The raised attachment point accepts a shackle or tied line, so no separate becket above the control line is needed.
