compact and robust pair of davits makes it easier to handle the boat on the water and takes comfort to a new level. Båtsystem’s unique solution is based on Scandinavian minimalist design and an ingenious construction that differs from traditional davits.
In conventional davits, the arms are fixed to the frame without moving joints, which exposes the transom to twisting stresses. Båtsystem’s davits instead utilize standard counterforce ropes, which distribute the load completely without torsion. This design significantly reduces the mechanical stress on the transom and eliminates the need for internal reinforcements at the mounting points. The included brackets are designed to distribute the load over a wider area at the stern of the boat.
The set includes two strong davits with a tube diameter of 42 mm and can withstand a maximum load of 150 kg. Due to dynamic forces, it is not recommended to lift a dinghy with engines weighing more than 150 kg while sailing, although the system can statically withstand a total of 300 kg on two arms. The delivery also includes two rope and pulley packages and two mounting brackets designed for different types of transoms; both round and straight.
All parts are made of durable AISI316 acid-resistant stainless steel. High-quality ropes and pulleys complete the whole, which protects the boat’s structure and ensures reliable operation year after year.
