Inverters convert direct current into alternating current; the boat’s 12 V electrical system into 220 V. LTC inverters use a modified sine wave. Depending on the power of the inverter, this allows, among other things, charging a camera, using a coffee maker, microwave oven and TV. LTC inverters have an alarm for low battery voltage and protection against disconnection, short circuit and overvoltage.
