Thickness 250 microns, width 51 mm, length 16.5 m.
PROtect Chafe is a pressure-sensitive tape made of a very high molecular weight polyethylene film with a very strong acrylic adhesive.
The end result is a very durable material with the highest impact resistance on the market.
The tape has very low moisture absorption, has a very low coefficient of friction, is self-lubricating and tolerates abrasion very well (15 times more resistant to abrasion than carbon steel).
Typical applications:
• pulling ropes along the deck
• mooring lines
• mast and sails
• protecting the underside of the boom against wear caused by spinnaker or gennaker
