Inverters convert direct current into alternating current, i.e. the boat’s 12 V electrical system into 220 V, a modified sine wave in LTC inverters. Depending on the power of the inverter, this enables, among other things, charging a camera, using a coffee maker, microwave oven and TV. LTC inverters have an alarm for low battery voltage and cut-off, short-circuit and overvoltage protection.
