The buoy’s volume is of great importance for the flexibility of the mooring. The volume is suitable if the buoy can carry the chain well, but it can
be pulled under the water surface even in rough weather or if the buoy is subjected to greater stress.
The buoy weight must be dimensioned so that it can withstand heavy stress. The buoy’s mooring iron, which has welded loops at both ends, must be
pass-through in design.
NOTE! The buoy chain should be inspected at the beginning of each season and made sure that the material strength is sufficient for the stress caused by the boat even in rough
weather.
