Snubber TWIST adds flexibility to the rope, allowing your boat to stay anchored without straining your boat’s knapsack and dock bollard when the waves rock the boat. When you anchor your boat in open water, for example for fishing, the Snubber attached to the anchor rope softens the violent jerks that strain the rope attachment and feel uncomfortable. It is a good idea to purchase a boat rope spring for each of the boat’s four mooring ropes. At a minimum, two shock absorbers are needed, but for the general ease of landing, it is recommended that each rope has its own Snubber. It is also justified to purchase its own spring for the anchor rope.
Snubber springs are suitable for all boats with a total weight of approximately one thousand kilos and above. Snubber TWIST is designed for a weight class of 2-6 tons. It is wise to secure sailboats, motorboats, fishing boats and yachts to the dock with ropes equipped with boat springs. Sailing clubs recommend dock mooring with boat springs because it reduces the need for dock maintenance. Insurance companies also recommend anchoring with boat springs.
You can attach the Snubber to any rope, including flat ropes and webbing. Attaching to the rope is done in an instant without knots, without the need to untie the rope from either end – let alone cut the rope. The boat spring is easy to move if it was attached in the wrong place.
